About
A small company building business software.
MuslimSpot builds TechSuit, tools for running a small business, with Muslim values at the foundation.
Who this is for
Muslim-first, not Muslim-only.
The Muslim community is who we build for first and most want to see succeed. Anyone who likes the products and the pricing is welcome to use them.
The reader we design for is one person running one business. A freelancer invoicing by the hour. A founder with two employees, no operations department and no budget for a consultant to explain their own tools to them. The defaults suit that person. Larger organisations are welcome, and nothing here is built to keep them out.
The purpose is to help you stand on your own feet. Pricing, data and cancellation are decided against that test.
What we commit to
Three things, because three can be held to.
We would rather under-promise and deliver. Each one says what it costs us in practice.
Transparent pricing
Every charge is visible before it happens.
No hidden fees, no surprise renewals, no charge you cannot see and account for. Cancelling is as easy as signing up.
A fair price, not the maximum one
We charge for real work done, not for what you could be pushed to tolerate.
No dark patterns. No feature held hostage to force an upgrade you do not need.
We say what the product does today
Anything still in development is labelled as such.
TimeTracer is available. CRM, SmartDoc and AutoSEO are in development, and there is no release date for any of them.
None of the three carries a number. There is no uptime figure, no response-time guarantee and no claim that prices will never rise. The terms of service put the three above into contractual language.
Not a promise
What we want, which is not the same as a promise
What follows is the direction of the company, in our own words. It is not a commitment you could hold us to in the way the three above are.
We want the Muslim community to be our customers and to do well, and we want MuslimSpot to be somewhere Muslim entrepreneurs find each other.
We build according to Islamic ethical teaching, and we will not sell or promote anything haram through our products.
MuslimSpot holds no Shariah certification and issues no religious rulings. There is no scholarly board and no membership scheme. This is the direction of the company, stated as intent.
How we work
A small team runs this.
The people who write the code answer the mail. A question about one product goes to the people who work on that product, and the suite page lists the address for each.
MuslimSpot runs its own systems and administers them. Where customer data is held, who can reach it and who else is involved are set out in the privacy policy.
A small team has limits. The terms state what MuslimSpot does and does not promise about availability, with no figure attached to it.

How we decide things
Every decision is written down before it is acted on.
Each one gets a numbered file: what was true at the time, what was chosen, the alternatives that lost and why, what it costs, and the condition that should reopen it.
The parts general enough to be useful to somebody else are published in the writing section.

Questions
About the company
- Who is behind MuslimSpot?
- A small team. The people who write the code also answer the mail.
- Why 'Muslim-first' rather than just building software?
- Because it changes what we build and what we refuse to build, and saying so lets you judge us on it. The Muslim community is who we build for first and most want to see succeed. Anyone who likes the products and the pricing is welcome to use them.
- Is there a community I can join?
- Not yet. We would like MuslimSpot to be somewhere Muslim entrepreneurs find each other. There is nothing to join today.
Ask us something difficult.
Especially about the parts of this page that sound too good. We would rather answer it than have you assume.
