MuslimSpot

A technical SEO audit you can act on.

Give it the address of a website. It crawls the pages, scores what it finds, and suggests fixes in order of priority, with a report you can download.

It fetches pages from the websites you audit, and some audit stages use outside services. Both are set out in the privacy notice.

What problem this solves

A long list of warnings is not a plan.

Most website checks end in a long list. Every item looks urgent, nothing says which one matters, and the list goes in a drawer.

SEO Auditor scores each finding and puts its suggested fixes in order, so the first thing on the list is the first thing worth doing. The plan is split into the next 30, 60 and 90 days.

Run it again after the work is done and the new score sits next to the old one. That is how you find out whether the fixes worked.

What it does, said plainly

It visits websites on your behalf.

When an audit runs, SEO Auditor fetches the public pages of the website you named, the way a browser would, including the images and scripts those pages load. It does not change anything on the site.

What it finds is kept in your workspace as scores and reports. Reports are kept for twelve months, and you can delete one sooner.

Some stages of an audit ask outside services about the website, for example how fast a page loads. The full list of those services, what each one is sent and how long anything is kept is in the SEO Auditor privacy notice.

What you get

A crawl, a score, and suggested fixes in order.

A technical audit

It reads robots.txt and the sitemap, crawls the pages and checks each one. The findings are grouped by page, so a problem points at the place to fix it.

A score

Each audit ends in a score. Earlier scores stay in the workspace, so the effect of a round of fixes shows up as a number that moved.

Suggested fixes in order of priority

Findings become a list of suggested fixes, highest priority first, split into a 30, 60 and 90 day plan.

A report you can download

The results come as a PDF report you can keep, or hand to whoever makes the changes.

Audits on a schedule

Run an audit when you want one, or set it to run weekly or monthly, where your plan includes it. You get an e-mail when a report is ready.

A shared workspace

Invite the people you work with. Everyone in the workspace sees the same audits and reports.

Who it is for

And who it is not

It suits you if

  • You run your own website and want to know what is wrong with it technically.
  • You look after websites for clients and want a report you can hand over.
  • You want to check again after the fixes and see whether the score moved.

It does not suit you if

  • You want the changes made and published for you. It suggests what to fix, and the fixing is yours.
